Back Street Crawler was the rock band formed by blues great Paul Kossoff on his eventual final departure from Free. He only had months to live when Back Street Crawler was launched in a blaze of publicity and the albums they produced are his last recorded work. The first album The Band Plays On showed that despite Kossoff's escalating drugs problem he could still lay claim to being one of the best blues/rock guitarists around. The follow up 2nd Street came out after his death and there was a posthumous third album, Paul Kossoff live at Croydon Fairfield Halls 15/6/75 which is actually a Back Street Crawler concert.
