I have only deleted the MediaWiki redirects that start with A, and for each of them I checked the history and "what links here", so there should be no surprises left behind. There were few minor special cases, but I think I got the A-batch in consistent state now. Feel free to drop a note to my talk if you need any help, especially with the readonly MediaWiki namespace.
