== Sarah Shahi ==
Yes, she is 100% legitimate in regards to being the great-great-granddaughter of Ahmad Shah Qajar. Given her choice of careers, I think he's most likely rolling in his grave! ;) It's interesting though, how the Qajars were one of the most religiously hardline and despotic (and politically incompetent towards the end) of dynasties, and yet their modern descendants, even in Iran, are very much social 'libertines.' But that's another story. User:SouthernComfort 04:51, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)
:You know what, according to this [http://users.sedona.net/~sepa/sara-shahi.html link] and several others, she is the great-great-granddaughter of Fath Ali Shah. I had thought Ahmad Shah myself, but if Mirza II is her father, then this line of descent is through Ahmad Shah. But the problem is that there are quite a number of Qajar descendants living in the southwestern United States. It's further complicated by her last name which may not be her birth name or the name of her immediate family, i.e. taken in order to distance the family name from her occupation. IMHO, the Qajar aspect is not in dispute (there are so many Qajar descendants living here that if it wasn't true, they would have protested by now, and it's something well accepted), but Mirza II may not be her father. If he's married, or was married, to a Spanish woman, and if we could find that out, then that would be helpful. I'm going to ask around about this. User:SouthernComfort 06:32, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)
== Copyright laws in Greece ==
enjoy :D User:Project2501a 21:40, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)
*sigh* You can do whatever you want to with any pics in greece. there is, virtually, NO copyright law in greece. that means that ANY photo can be copied, even the military ones. so, go ahead, have a field trip with them :)
==Wikinews==
Zereshk would probably be the one to ask about this, as he's over there right now. You could also check IRNA [http:/www.irna.com/en] and IRIB [http://www.iribnews.ir/front_en.ASP?sec=front_en]] for the regime party line. Family members with whom I have spoken with recently all state that things are pretty hectic over there right now. If you can understand Persian, Radio Farda is an excellent source [http://www.radiofarda.com], though I don't think they've added any recent news about this to the English section yet. I'll be calling again later tonight so I'll try to give you what details I am able to ascertain.
By the way, if you have knowledge of the subject, your input on Talk:Ethnic politics of Khuzestan would be appreciated. User:SouthernComfort 22:08, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)
== Wiki + UTF8 ==
hey :) you might not twant to use greek in the summary field, cuz the current version of wiki is not UTF-8 friendly :) User:Project2501a 21:08, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
also, imho, List of Greek military bases should be a redirect to Greek military bases. Easier to maintain. User:Project2501a 21:10, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)

==World War II US Forces==
I think the place you should start is with the WWII US definitions of Theaters European Theater of Operations, Mediterranean Theater of Operations, Pacific Theater of Operations and China Burma India Theater of World War II (see also. Taking the ETO as an example you have to differenciate between SHAEF an operational command and ETOUSA which was an adminstative command (much more boring but still essential). It gets much more complicated in other theaters (particularly in the South-East Asian Theatre of World War II because the CBI was not an operational theater and to quote Slim:
:''Stilwell, however bitterly resisted it... To watch Stilwell, when hard pressed, shift his opposition from one of the several strong-points he held by virtue of his numerous Allied, American and Chinese offices, to another was a lesson in mobile offensive-defence.''
Good luck. User:Philip Baird Shearer 23:19, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

== URGENT POLL ==
There is a poll in the talk page of Macedonian Slavs article here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Macedonian_Slavs#The_poll
Some people are lobbying for changing the article's name to Macedonian without any qualifier. As it seems, a number of these people come from the Macedonian/Macedonian Slav wikipedia project. It seemed only fair to attract the attention of people possibly from the other side of the story. I hope that this message is of interest to you, if not please accept my apologies. Hahahaha :). Where did you find that site? I am actually a Macedonian myself, but I do laugh on nationalistic stupidity from either side. --User:FlavrSavr 09:01, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

==About Me==
Contributor to English language, Greek language and Latin language Wikipedias (mostly English, though). I have, on occasion, made links to and from other Wikipedias where appropriate.
==Wikipolitical Leanings==
:Like George Washington, I dislike factions; however, recent events have forced my hand. Revolutionary zealots serving on the Politburo of the People's Republic of Wikipedia, eager to purge WikiSociety of all server parasitism, decided to try one of my articles in their kangaroo court and execute it at sunrise. I therefore felt compelled to enter the ranks of the meta:Association of Inclusionist Wikipedians in order to raise awareness and protect myself and the valid stubs that I have created.
:If my articles are too short, help me and the rest of the Wiki community out by expanding them! I can't do it all alone. I am not creating Wikigraffiti or vanity articles. When I mention someone or something important in an article I'm working on, and that subject does not have its own article, I try to create one. My time and sometimes my knowledge are limited, but I do the best I can. While admitting my failings, I will not submit to the judgements of some ad hoc court from which there is no right to appeal. Terror suspects at secret tribunals have more procedural rights than this! I still can't even believe Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/Tacumwah happened!
I'd like to reproduce an appropriate quote from the Inclusionist page here:
The Moving Finger writes: and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
And here's another one from an earlier Persian:
[4.15] Sayeth Darius the king: O thou who shalt see this inscription in the future which I have written or these sculptures, thou shalt not destroy (them) as long as thou shalt live; thus thou shalt guard them.
[4.16] Sayeth Darius the king: If thou shalt see this inscription or these sculptures (and) shalt not destroy them and shalt guard them as long as thy family shall be, may Ahura Mazda be a friend to thee and may there be unto thee a family abundantly and mayest thou live long and whatever thou shalt do, this for thee (let) Ahura Mazda make [successful].
[4.17] Sayeth Darius the king: If thou shalt see this inscription or these sculptures (and) shalt destroy; them and shalt not guard them as long as thy family shall be, may Ahura Mazda be a smiter unto thee and may there not be unto thee a family and whatever thou shalt do, this let Ahura Mazda destroy for thee.
I think that just about sums it up!

===Articles I've Started===
See User:Jpbrenna/Articles Created for articles begun by yours truly. Not quite exhaustive, since I haven't updated it in awhile.
I've quite a few articles on my watchlist, and I've probably tinkered with hundreds if not over a thousand. If I've already forgotten about them, then they must have been unimportant and don't need to be listed here ;)
