Juanita Millender-McDonald (born September 7 1938), United States politician, has been a United States Democratic Party member of the United States House of Representatives since 1996, representing the 37th District of California ([http://nationalatlas.gov/printable/images/preview/congdist/ca37_109.gif map]), which includes most of South Central Los Angeles. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, was educated at California State University, Los Angeles and the University of Southern California, and was a teacher, a member of the Carson, California City Council and a member of the California Assembly before entering the House.
