The radio station 106.7 has a transmitter in Boulder, Colorado. KBPI started at 105.9 FM in 1969. It is mainly rock, heavy metal, and some industrial music. During the 70s and 80s, its television commercials featured a blonde woman lip-synching with bits of popular songs and DJ's voices, and the tagline "KBPI Rrrrrrrrocks the rrrrockies!" This catchphrase is still used in advertising. In the mid-90s, KBPI moved to 106.7 FM. It is owned by Clear Channel Radio. Some of the DJs are Willy B. Hung, Uncle Nasty, Marc Stout and D-Mak.
