KCETKCET is the preeminent public television station in Southern California. Broadcasting on Channel 28 in Los Angeles, the studio is located at 4401 West Sunset Boulevard. Hallmark programs include ''Life & Times'' and Huell Howser's ''California's Gold''. They also produce the weekday program ''The Tavis Smiley Show'' and recently, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, have produced a six-part miniseries in conjunction with the BBC called ''Auschwitz: Inside the Nazi State.''
