KFBTKFBT (Channel 33 Analog television, 29 digital television) is an Independent station serving the Las Vegas, Nevada market owned and operated by the Sinclair Broadcast Group. KFBT began in 1989 as an independent UHF station, broadcasting on channel 33 and Prime Cable channel 6. KFBT gained much acclaim through the 1980s as a firmly-local station, retaining such features as the scary B-Movie night "Saturday Fright at the Movies," hosted by Count Cool Rider, which aired at 10:00pm. According to the KFBT website, the station primarily broadcast older programming during this era. After the launch of the WB Network, KFBT became a WB affiliate, changing their call sign to KFWB. After the Sinclair Broadcasting Group purchased the station, along with KUPN, KFBT lost its WB affiliation to the newly-rebranded KVWB and again became independent and reverted to its original call letters. KFBT began (or perhaps resumed) using the monkier "Gold 33" and began showing mainly newer syndicated programming. KFBT now shares a news department, courtesy of the Sinclair Broadcast Group's "News Central", with KVWB. KFBT's newscast airs at 7:00pm. ==External Links== [http://www.wblasvegas.com/ KVWB/KFBT site] Sinclair Broadcast Group See other meanings of words starting from letter: KKA | KB | KC | KD | KE | KF | KG | KH | KI | KJ | KL | KM | KN | KO | KP | KR | KS | KT | KU | KW | KX | KY | KZ |Words begining with KFBT: KFBT |
